The 10th Great Loxahatchee River Race

• Where:   Jonathan Dickinson State Park - Swim Area, 16450 S.E. Federal Highway, Hobe Sound, Florida 33455
   
• When:  Saturday, May 19, 2012.  Registration opens 9 a.m., races start 10 a.m.  
   
• How:  Registration forms are available for download on this website and in area  outdoor stores. 
   
• Events:  Short (1 Mile),  Medium (6 miles) and  Long (12 miles)
   
• Vessels:  Races are open to all canoes, kayaks and paddle boards.  Canoes and kayaks may be rented at Jonathan Dickinson Park (561) 746-1466 (www.floridastateparks.org/jonathandickinson/). 
   
• Cost:  $8.00 to cover insurance and donations to the Florida Paddling Trails Association (http://www.floridapaddlingtrails.com/) and to the Loxahatchee River Center (http://www.loxahatcheeriver.org/).  Individuals will need to pay $2.00 each for park entrance.  Checks should be made to Loxahatchee River Race. 
   
• Lunch:  A complimentary BBQ lunch will be provided - bring your own beverages. 
  
  
  
  Net proceeds will be donated to the Loxahatchee River Center and The Florida Paddling Trails Association (FPTA).
